Do I need to know how to code?
No. Write in plain words.
Which game engines does it work with?
GameMaker, with Chatterbox. Unity and Ren’Py are planned.
Does my story leave my computer?
No. Only the licence check and optional, anonymous usage counts. Privacy Policy.
Can I still edit the file by hand?
Yes. It’s a normal .yarn file.
What do I need?
VS Code, VSCodium, Cursor or Windsurf, on Windows, macOS or Linux. A GameMaker project using Chatterbox.
Buying and your licence
How long is the free trial?
24 hours per computer. Everything included. No card needed.
Who takes my payment?
Creem, our merchant of record. Creem also emails your receipt and licence key.
How do I cancel?
Any time, in Creem’s customer portal. Open it with Manage or Cancel Subscription in Tsumugi: Licence Status, or from any Creem payment email. You keep access until the paid time ends.
Can I get a refund?
Where the law requires it. Problem with a purchase? Email us first. Terms of Use, Schedule 1, section 3.
Can I use my licence on two computers?
1 at a time. Move it with Remove from This Computer in Tsumugi: Licence Status.
Do I need to be online?
For licence checks, yes. After 72 hours offline, the Story Writer locks until you reconnect. Text editing always works.
