Credits and thanks
Tsumugi would not be possible without the work of many people, given freely. We are very grateful to them all.
Juju Adams
Thank you to Juju Adams, who made Chatterbox and Scribble.
- Chatterbox runs your game’s dialogue. Tsumugi’s
.yarnfiles are Chatterbox files, so your game plays them as they are. - Scribble draws text in GameMaker. Tsumugi reads your game’s Scribble fonts, colours and effects to draw the preview and check what fits.
Both are free, and released under the MIT licence:
We recognise the years of careful work that went into them. Tsumugi is our way of making that work easier to use, not a replacement for it. The Chatterbox documentation is the place to learn the language in full.
Yarn
Chatterbox’s language is loosely based on YarnScript, the language of Yarn Spinner. Thank you to its makers for the ideas that .yarn files are built on.
